Stonebrook History

Serving Martinsburg, West Virginia since 1987

Stonebrook has been supporting adults with developmental disabilities in the Martinsburg, WV area since 1987. In January 2021, the seven Stonebrook Group Homes became part of the enCircle family. Our staff provides high-quality, person-centered care to help residents live full and meaningful lives.

It all started when one young man, William Ravi Booth, who needed specialized care and to be treated as part of a family, was welcomed into the home and hearts of John and Karen Fanning. By 1989, the Fannings’ spacious five-bedroom home was full! They were supporting eight people with disabilities full time— and they knew it was time to expand.

Now, Stonebrook owns and operates seven group homes, supports 36 residents 24/7, and employs about 90 full and part-time staff. Our agency offers community engagement to the people we support— along with a sense of family.
