Ensuring safe placements for unaccompanied children

EnCircle is part of a network of agencies coordinating with Global Refuge to help reunite unaccompanied immigrant children with family or sponsors in the United States. Once they are reunited, we work with families to ensure that children are settled safely with the resources they need to heal and thrive.

We provide a comfortable, friendly place for family members and sponsors to receive fingerprinting required for background checks that ensure children are placed in a safe and secure home. Our bilingual staff aims to make this step fast and efficient, so families can more easily move through the reunification process.

Our staff also conduct home visits and provide case management services to the reunified and sponsor families to ensure that children have what they need to be safe and healthy after being released from federal custody. We link families to health and mental health services, legal assistance, educational services, and other community resources.

The program is supported by funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and families, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR).
