Fostering Immigrant Children and Teens
Foster care for unaccompanied children and teens
Would you like to provide a safe and welcoming home for immigrant children and teens? We have two opportunities in two Virginia locations.
Richmond
EnCircle is recruiting and training foster parents in the Richmond area to provide Transitional Foster Care, typically two weeks to two months. These children have entered the U.S. by themselves and are awaiting reunification with family/sponsors already here in the U.S.
Tidewater
EnCircle is recruiting and training foster parents in Hampton Roads for Long Term Foster Care, which serves teenagers who arrive in the U.S. unaccompanied and for whom reunification with family/sponsor has been unsuccessful. These teens attend public schools and need supportive foster parents with a safe place to live and thrive, usually until they turn 18 years old.
Training and support
For children/teens in both programs, enCircle provides a monthly stipend, educational support, case management, and clinical services to strengthen their safety, well-being, and integration into our communities. All staff are bilingual and speak both English and Spanish. With 24/7 training and support from enCircle, you have everything you need to provide a safe and caring home environment.
