Work hard and stay humble are words Maurice Gallimore strives to live by. They are posted in his office as a reminder, and they serve as a guide throughout his day. They also explain why he embodies a goodness that is respected by so many.

"I always try to be mindful of my blessings and recognize how quickly life can look different," Maurice said. "I just try not to take any of it for granted."

Maurice is Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and has been at enCircle for 21 years. He is a faithful donor and gives because he believes in the mission and in the people.

"My first gift may have been in memory or honor of someone, but knowing how this organization has blessed me and so many others, it has evolved into a way I can give back and support the good work of enCircle."

Knowing how his gift will directly affect a particular program is motivating to Maurice. He likes donating to causes that he is connected with, believes in, and where he knows his gift will have influence. EnCircle resonates with him in this way.

"I like seeing how this organization is constantly evolving, and the interest others have in supporting the mission," Maurice said. "Whether it’s financial support, in-kind gifts, or just telling others about what’s happening in the programs, it all matters."

Maurice is mindful of money being tight for most Americans right now and this, too, inspires him to help as he can and where he sees the need.

 "It’s just the right thing to do," Maurice said. "Caring about people rings true to me."
