Annual Report 2024-2025: Advocacy
EnCircle launched dedicated, year-round advocacy with new Director of Advocacy and Government Relations to better serve students, immigrants, and people with disabilities.
A major focus of our efforts this year is the ongoing “Medicaid Matters” advocacy campaign. Those directly affected by potential cuts to Medicaid funding, like Hunter, seen here at left with his caregiver Allison, are front and center, sharing what matters to them, and why it should matter to all of us.

Relationship building and education with lawmakers included visits to the Capitols in Richmond and Washington, DC, as well as hosting legislators at our programs.
EnCircle Chaplain Sarah Menke joined an interfaith coalition at a 60-hour Medicaid vigil in Washington, D.C. The goal: to reflect, find unity, and keep advocating with hope.

Meetings held with federal and state legislators
Between January and June 2025, enCircle staff met with legislators and their teams at both the federal and state levels to share updates and advocate for the people we serve
