Margaret Nimmo
Chief Engagement Officer
Margaret brings more than 20 years of experience and enthusiasm for nonprofit human services and advocacy to her role of engaging people with our mission.
Margaret joined enCircle in October 2019 as Vice President of External Relations to lead communications, marketing, philanthropy, and advocacy efforts and was promoted to Chief Engagement Officer in November of 2021. She continues to lead these areas while also overseeing Immigration and Refugee Services, Counseling, Treatment Foster Care our Post-Adoption programs. Before joining enCircle, Margaret worked in policy advocacy for 16 years at Voices for Virginia’s Children, a statewide child advocacy organization, leading it as Executive Director for six years. Margaret received the 2016 Outstanding Women Award in Law and Government from the YWCA of Richmond. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of Virginia and completed the Nonprofit Management Certificate program at Georgetown University.
